Located in the heart of the Chilterns, overlooking the Vale of Aylesbury, The Gatehangers Inn is a very charming 17th century countryside 'free house'. Enjoy the pleasures of a long luxurious weekend or a few nights away in this delightful bed and breakfast, and you will return to modern life refreshed and revived after your stay.
Accommodation at The Gatehangers Inn has a pleasant home from home feel, where you decide at what time you would like to have your delicious full English breakfast cooked, and it'll be ready and waiting for you. Prices range from as low as £40 for a single room during the week, including breakfast, to £65 at a weekend for a double room. Choose from single, double and twin rooms, all with en-suite. The bed and breakfast is great value for money, and offers a good peaceful nights sleep, away from the noise and hurly burley of city life.
Ideally located close to many historic local places of interest, including; Waddesdon Manor, Notley Tithe Barn, Ambrosden, Brill, Cuddington, Dorton, Haddenham, Oakley, Stone, Worminghall, Quainton, and Wotton Underwood. The towns of Aylesbury and Bicester are close at hand, as is RAF Halton. The Gatehangers Inn is also situated in the area where the ITV drama series Midsomer Murders is filmed. This is a great place for bird watching and the large, and very rare, red kite can often be seen from the Inn.
Naturally you can enjoy great food at the Inn as well as great accommodation. Bar lunches are served from noon on Tuesdays and Fridays (with O.A.P. concessions on a Tuesday ), and evening meals are served in the restaurant from 6pm onwards. Sunday lunch is delicious and always very popular. There is a fantastic range of alcoholic beverages at The Gatehangers Inn including an amazing collection of real ales, and you can even have a taster before you choose which fine ale you would like to drink. The bar also serves larger, cider, wines, and spirits, as well as non-alcoholic drinks and hot beverages.
There are always great events taking place throughout the year at The Gatehangers Inn, where you can enjoy a pub quiz, a sweepstake, special annual dinner, cocktail night, or even a special curry night!
